Welcome to Gurdeep Kaur Uppal's tribute page. Gurdeep was born in India on August 15th 1932 and was fortunate to have many loved relationships. She was a wife; an amazing mother; the most special grandmother/great grandmother there could be but above all she was everyone's Bibi.
Her love was unconditional for everyone and her kind caring heart taught us how to be better people in life. Bibi would make us laugh uncontrollably, ensure everyone was stuffed with her delicious food and tell the best old stories and juicy gossip! Bibi was diagnosed with liver cancer in late 2014 and given an initial life expectancy of up to 18 months. She battled her cancer and continued to enjoy her life for over 4 years - a testament to what a remarkable and courageous woman she was! Bibi passed away on January 18th 2019 with all her family around her and a room full of love.
As a family we have attached the Oxford Hospitals Charity to this tribute page and would appreciate any donations made to them in Bibi's name. The level of care and wellbeing provided by the hospital throughout the years of Bibi's battle with cancer was over and above, and we are so thankful for their support.
We all miss her dearly and are still trying to overcome the void she left behind, but from the bottom of our hearts we are greatful that we had this special person in our lives.
xXx

A massive thank you for the staff at John Radcliffe Hospital for caring for our gran through her last stages of life. The staff were on hand to ensure she was comfortable and were kind towards the family going through a hard time. So thank you, it was appreciated and the support was amazing!
Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and members of staff at the John Radcliffe Hospital for their help and dedication in supporting and looking after our grandmother - Gurdeep Kaur Uppal- in her battle with cancer. Right until the end of her life, the care provided was remarkable and for that we are extremely grateful.
